This song, Rouse Yourself by JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound, became one of my "get my booty movin'" songs of the summer. I had sandwiched the song between a couple of other tracks in the middle of a mix I made back in July and it had me shaking my dapper booty all summer long.
Speaking of dapper, JC Brooks is Captain Dapper's kind of singer. The man has a way with a suit! He's like a younger, handsomer James Brown.
