Fall and winter are perfect times to layer - both from a practical standpoint (a day can start out chilly but warm up quickly) and a fashion perspective (every body type looks good in layers). Here's how I put the look together:
- It all started with these French Corders in Maple from Bonobos ($125). I'm a sucker for anything in the brown family so this maple hue is right up my alley. And, hello, nothing says fall like corduroy.
- This Luke Red Chambray Shirt from Jack Robie ($135) is a perfect color complement to the maple cords. A man should never shy away from a little color.
- Worried about all that red? Once you layer this Shirt Jacket With Detachable Inner from Scotch & Soda ($185) over the shirt, you'll only see a little pop of color.
- Top off the look with this 1936 Skyliner Model Hunting Down Vest from Eddie Bauer ($199). The vest adds a rugged touch and will add an extra layer of warmth of those cold mornings.
- What's a dapper look with a bow tie? This Fulton Houndstooth Bow Tie from The Tie Bar ($15) picks up the color of the pants and the red in the shirt.
- You gotta love a chukka. Kaldwell Leather Chukka from Ugg ($140)
The pieces here are shown as a suggestion. If this look isn't in your price range, try to create a similar look with clothes that are more affordable.
Happy dapper dressing!
