It seems unfair that the gowns get all the attention when it comes to award show coverage. Sure, menswear tends to be more conservative, but there's still some room for individuality. These seven male celebrities pulled off great looks at Sunday night's 65th Annual Emmy awards.
1. Neil Patrick Harris' maroon tuxedo jacket is smartly paired with a black on black stripe tie and black trousers.
2. Blair Underwood's simple, jazz age-inspired tuxedo almost lets me forgive him for the soul patch. (But Connie Britton's dress is so terribly un-sexy!)
3. Will Arnett's slim, gray tuxedo is a great fit. (I absolutely adore Margo Martindale so she can do no wrong.)
4. Will Ferrell's Dad-next-door chic. (Ha! Just kidding! I just wanted to see if you were paying attention.)
5. Derek Hough's dark red velvet jacket and deep gray pants are a colorful update on the formal tux. (And I think he's wearing the same tie as NPH.)
6. Jon Hamm's white jacket is a nice distraction from the sea of black jackets. (And it looks great with his salt-and-pepper beard.) Alec Baldwin also gets style points for his shiny jacket.
7. James Cromwell's black on black ensemble is a nice touch, although I'd prefer a better fit on that jacket.
